Welcome to Joni and Friends Southeast Michigan!
As an all volunteer ministry of Joni and Friends, our desire is to serve as a catalyst to the Christian community by providing resources, training and opportunities to serve individuals and families affected by disabilities.
We invite you to learn about Joni and Friends ministries and join us in fulfilling our vision.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Communicate the gospel in all that we do. And, equip Christ honoring churches in Southeast Michigan to evangelize and disciple people affected by disabilities and their families.
OUR VISION STATEMENT
We are committed to assisting the church to ìgo quickly and compel the poor, the crippled, the lame and the blind to come in to Godís house.î (Luke 14)
We are a resource to educate and bring awareness of Christís love for people with special abilities. We hope you will share in our vision to equip the church world-wide to become ìspecial abilities awareî, friendly and effective in disability ministry.

We are motivated by the unconditional love of Jesus Christ who invites all to join and enjoy their unique place in the family of God.

We covenant your prayers and acknowledge that prayer is our most powerful resource. It is our pleasure to partner with you in prayer. Please give us a call if you'd like to just talk or pray together.
WHAT WE DO
Joni and Friends Southeast Michigan have many tools to serve the church and community. Our resources and support to families and individuals with different abilities is amazing. Listed below are a few of our outreach ministries.
Through The Roof:
This is a training ministry that can equip lay leaders and Sunday school teachers for the work of special abilities ministry. It also encompasses a network of people and church that walk alongside each other that are empowered to carry out Luke 14. A welcoming heart for God's people is the only job requirement. Many of the people working in this ministry derive more blessing than those whom they are serving.
Family Retreat:
This unique week-long camp experience for the entire family. A counselor assists that special someone in your family throughout the week for activates, songs, and crafts and much more...while you also take advantage of what camp has to offer. Also, it's a time of rest and fellowship with other families that are also affected by disability. Fun is the middle name of Family Retreat...an experience not to be missed!
Wheels for the World:
This is the world-wide mission project of Joni Eareckson Tada. Wheelchairs are collected, restored and distributed in developing countries, such as Cuba, China, Poland and Ghana. Contact us to donate your manual wheelchairs, walkers and/or crutches. All donations are tax deductible.
Special Delivery:
Beautiful packages are prepared with love and care for each individual who is newly affected by disability or for those who may be going through a crisis that could use some special care. Special Delivery packages also go to new families who have given birth to beautiful children who may have different abilities. Parents may receive a package ahead of a birth if they receive word their child may have a disability. Godís word says He knitted us in the womb. Special Delivery wants to reinforce the love we have for all children. These packages are filled with spiritually uplifting materials that are provided by Joni and Friends. Contact us if you would like to learn more about Special Delivery and/or how you can develop a ministry like this for your church.
